Megan Wallace
Director and Licensed Immigration Adviser
First-hand experience.
Originally from the UK, Megan migrated to New Zealand in 2016, settling in the beautiful Tahuna, Queenstown.
Arriving on a working holiday visa, to now holding permanent resident status within New Zealand, Megan understands the stress, anxiety and excitement that comes with the whole migration process.
Megan prides herself in making migrants fully understand the process and by applying her practical experience help make migrants feel comfortable, safe, and confident when engaging with Immigration New Zealand’s processes.
Megan is a UK Law graduate and her legal background has provided her with the essential skills and experience to professionally advocate facts and complex information on behalf of clients to ensure the best outcome.
Her goal is to make her client’s journey as smooth and stress-free as possible and she has assisted in over 2,500 successful immigration matters.
Megan is a valued member of the Queenstown community, previously serving on the board of Queenstown Young Professionals as President for five years and now a valued Trustee for Happiness House. Her passion is to help people from all backgrounds to achieve their immigration goals.
Jay-Marie Albert
Client Services Manager
Jay Marie is originally from the Philippines and brings a solid background in law, having completed four years of legal studies before transitioning into administrative and client service roles. Since March 2024, she has been part of Vita Nova, where she now serves as our Client Service Manager, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional support for both clients and the legal advisory team.
Her role involves managing administrative processes, coordinating client communications, and maintaining the efficiency of day-to-day operations. Jay Marie is passionate about delivering outstanding service and creating a positive experience for every client. Her attention to detail and ability to handle complex tasks make her an invaluable part of the team.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Jay Marie has a keen interest in global immigration systems and enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. She looks forward to continuing her growth in a dynamic, inclusive environment and contributing her skills to make a meaningful impact.
Mary Angelu Tape
Administrative Assistant
Mary is the newest member of our administrative team, providing essential support to ensure smooth operations and excellent client service. Currently in her final semester of law school, Mary brings strong skills in organisation, research, and communication, which she applies to managing documentation and assisting with immigration processes.
Her previous experience has equipped her with attention to detail and efficiency in handling complex tasks. Originally from the Philippines and fluent in both Tagalog and English, Mary brings a global perspective to our team. Outside of work, Mary enjoys books and films, with a particular love for The Lord of the Rings!
Mary is focused on delivering outstanding administrative support to our clients.
Helene Taylor
Administrative Assistant
Originally from New Caledonia, Helene arrived in New Zealand in 2017 on a work visa with her daughter and has since built both her personal and professional life in the South Island.
She is now a permanent resident of New Zealand. She began her career in beautiful Queenstown in the tourism and travel industry, before the pandemic led her to explore new opportunities and transition into the financial services and private investment sector, supporting management teams and clients with organisation, coordination, and day-to-day operations.
She is known for her calm, solution-focused approach, and her genuine enjoyment of assisting others, bringing structure and clarity so people and projects can move forward smoothly.
Alongside her professional role, Helene is actively involved in the French community in Southland as the Honorary Consul of France. In this role, she supports French nationals with administrative and consular matters and enjoys being a local point of contact for newcomers and long-standing residents alike.
Helene is a native French speaker, fluent in English, with an understanding of Spanish, and is currently undertaking the course to become a licensed immigration adviser.
